Now in its 20th year and with 100% enrollment, Chicago on the Nile Summer Cultural Arts Day Camp is the place to be. Interest in this holistic arts experience has increased over the last few years, a testament to the reputation generated by parents of children who have enjoyed the exposure to cultural expression through dance, crafts, singing, drama, writing and performance.

The camp is enhanced by field trips to museums, art galleries, performances, zoos, libraries, and other opportunities that support cultural enrichment. A hit event of the summer of projects is the Marketplace where students learn the entrepreneurial practice of producing and selling their craft work to family, eta volunteers, staff, and community residents.

The performance Showcase highlights the final week of activities for the camp. Students take the eta Mainstage by storm with an energized performance of dance, songs, skits and recited works. Delighted parents, teachers, family and community observe students presenting a variety of individual and ensemble work reflective of their summer cultural arts experience.
