Spring Board Benefit

Sunday, April 29, 2009

With an enduring theme that invites everyone to "Participate in the Magic," the Board of Directors of eta Creative Arts Foundation present a Spring Board Benefit each year during April at eta Square, with proceeds going toward eta's operating expenses. One very special individual is honored annually with the Milton Davis Magic Award for being a visionary who "understands and appreciates the need to develop institutions which nurture individual and community development." The award is named for the late Milton Davis, eta's first and long-term chairman of the Board of Directors.

In 2007, the honoree was Cliff Kelley, others honored have included Velma L Fellings, eta's volunteer coordinator, educator Dr. Howard Felder, civic leaders Juanita Passmore and Lucille Burris, Film/TV personality and eta alumnus Kel Mitchell and eta Play Reading Committee chair Clarice Durham.
