EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SEARCH
eta Creative Arts Foundation Board of Directors is seeking an experienced Executive Director with a strong background in African American arts and cultural traditions to be a transformative leader. The Executive Director will manage daily operations and provide positive and professional leadership for staff, provide fiscal oversight and plan fundraising goals and activities for sustainable growth, develop short and long-term strategic goals. The ideal candidate must have strong communications skills, be committed to local and national outreach, and advance the mission of eta. This is a full-time exempt position that reports to the Board of Directors and is based in Chicago, IL. Competitive nonprofit salary commensurate with experience.
Qualifications / Experience: Five years of experience in an operations management role with at least three years of experience working for or with a community-based arts organization.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree (or higher) preferred.
Preferred field of study: arts management.
Skills: Leadership, Performing and visual arts institution operations and management, Budget/Financial Accounting, Fundraising and Donor Development, Strategic Planning and strong written and oral communications skills.
