Bret Eddings

Bret Eddings serves as Associate Director of Accounting and Gifts at the University of Chicago, where he has worked since 2012. He brings more than 20 years of experience in finance and accounting to eta’s Board of Directors.

A Chicago native and lifelong resident, Bret earned his bachelor’s degree in finance, cum laude, from Tennessee State University in 2003. While attending Tennessee State, he became a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, through the Alpha Theta Chapter in 2002.

Bret is passionate about supporting organizations that enrich Chicago’s South Side and expand access to arts and cultural experiences for local youth and families. He looks forward to using his financial expertise to help advance eta’s mission and long-term growth.

Bret resides on Chicago’s South Side with his wife and their two children. In his spare time, he can usually be found on the golf course, where he enjoys the game’s strategic challenge and continues working on his short game.
